Did you make too much mince for spaghetti last night or have leftover beef casserole or roast beef? Then, a cheesy pasta is the way to go. Our baked macaroni and mince dish is loosely based on past al forno. It’s baking your mac and mince in layers like lasagna and a top layer of cheesy goodness. It’s the perfect leftover dish which the whole family will appreciate and enjoy any day of the week.

Baked macaroni and mince suggestions

You can still make a creamier pasta by adding bechamel, just like making lasagna. With a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of flour, melt them together until the flour smell goes away. Very slowly add milk and whisk continuously until it’s thick and smooth. Season well and use it to cover the mince before adding a layer of cheese. Bake your casserole until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Serve with a light green salad.
