Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Arthur Zwane is reportedly under the consideration of Al Ahly, according to reports.

Zwane is currently one of two assistant coaches to Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, and has recently been linked with a move away from the club.
Chiefs coaches linked to AmaZulu
Just last week, reports had surfaced that both Zwane and Baxter were under the consideration of AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu for the permanent birth as the coach of the Durban-based side. What would have, perhaps, added more fuel to the fire of those rumours, would have been the indications that Zwane was cutting an isolated figure on the Chiefs bench in recent weeks, and that a possibility of a fresh start away from the club had come to mind for the former Amakhosi winger.

Now in a big turn of events, it would appear that, if Zwane did, indeed see himself looking to exit for greener pastures, he would already have an admirer who would be happy to have his services. That admirer is said to be former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Mosimane who according to The Citizen, has already spoken to “10111” as Zwane is affectionately known, over the possibility of leaving Chiefs and joining him at Al Ahly.
Mosimane keen to take Zwane to Al Ahly
“Pitso (Mosimane) has mentioned to him (Zwane) that he would like to have him come work with him in Egypt. He does not have a second assistant since Cavin (Johnson) left last season. I believe he is waiting on the Al Ahly management’s response to his request to bring in another assistant,” said the source.

Whether these rumours prove to be true and Zwane eventually leaves Chiefs to team up with Mosimane at Al Ahly remains to be seen. Zwane could also be holding out for the AmaZulu Jon where he would be able to finally test his skills as a senior head coach instead.
