Daniel Cardoso is the player who doesn’t see anything wrong with playing for his former rivals, saying with Pirates, it would be his chance to again feature in the Soweto Derby.
But at 34, chances of him joining either side are slim simply because both Pirates and Sundowns have been getting rid of players in his age group.

Cardoso spent seven years at Chiefs between 2015 and 2022, and he left the club without winning a major piece of silverware.
Now, with him currently being unemployed, Cardoso admitted that he wouldn’t think twice about joining any of the Amakhosi rivals.

EX-CHIEFS MAN WOULDN’T THINK TWICE ABOUT JOINING EITHER PIRATES OR SUNDOWNS
“I haven’t had any talks with any team. I have been on a holiday, and I just recently came back,” said Cardoso on Robert Marawa’s show Marawa Sports Worldwide (MSW).
“I am about to start planning my next move. So, if Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns table offers, I’ll accept. I’m hungry to play. I hate missing games or being on the bench,” added Cardoso.
