Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s annual pre-GRAMMY celebration is back. The Roc Nation Brunch returned for the first time in three years on Saturday (Feb. 4), ahead of the 2023 GRAMMY Awards.
Dubbed as “a celebration of the highest elevation of self,” per the invitation, The Carters welcomed the industry’s finest like Kelly Rowland, Tyler The Creator, Ella Mai, Chlöe and Halle Bailey, June Ambrose, Lil Kim, Joey Bada$$, Vic Mensa, E-40, Tems, Babyface, Jimmy Jam, and more to a private residence in Bel-Air. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by an intimate orchestra on the path leading to the outdoor venue. Walls enclosing the roofless foyer were filled with photos from past Roc Nation Brunches including a portrait of Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle from 2019.
Though the exact dress code remains unclear, stars across music, entertainment, and sports showed out with their looks—some more than others. The RENAISSANCE superstar rocked a custom Gareth Pugh Studio dress with Amina Muaddi heels while the Brooklyn-bred Queen Bee wore a designer AREA jacket. Rowland’s glowy skin made the cream elements of her Ashi Studio mini-dress standout while Ambrose’s Gucci suit and KHIA TULLAÉ hat was a moment in itself.
