If you’ve forgone buying tickets to the Cassper vs Naakmusiq fight next week in favour of watching it on YouTube, you will be sorely disappointed
That’s because Cass has revealed that the “biggest fight of the year” will not be available to stream.
Unlike his fight against Slik Talk in December in 2021, Cassper’s fight is strictly for paying spectators.

NO TICKETS, NO MATCH
And whilst Sun City have reportedly added more tickets to their “Celeb City” weekend from 8-11 April on Web Tickets, ordinary South Africans do not have R14 000 – R56 000 lying around.
When one tweep asked Cassper if the match would be available to stream on YouTube, he responded: “Nope. This one is the one people have to pay to see. Or we sell it or partner with [a] channel. It’s big business this! Millions worth of content! Biggest boxing fight of the year!”.
At this stage, it’s unclear if the match will be picked up by broadcaster DSTV or streaming services like Netflix or Showmax.
And fans on Twitter were not happy.
“Very disappointed. Thought we gonna see the fight. Some of us don’t have 9k and 14k for tickets”
“You’re really making this about the money Cassper. This was started publicly, let it end that way”
“Power hungry that much? Or you don’t want the world to see you get knocked out for free? You are Slik Talk of this match, now you want to say oksalayo I got the bag…Le selfish Refiloe”
CASSPER & NAAK FACE-OFF AHEAD OF MATCH
Meanwhile Cassper and Naakmusiq faced off for a cold hard stare on Wednesday, 20 March at a press conference ahead of next week’s fight.
Hosted by media personality Pamela Mtanga, the musos were joined by Boxing SA acting CEO Erik Masikayezwe and their own entourages.
Cassper told the crowd: “I’m definitely gonna put NaakMusiQ out next weekend, I have been saying [this] since day one”.
Meanwhile Naak revealed why he took up the challenge after being called out by Cassper himself.
“The other two guys [AKA and Prince Kaybee] who were called rejected the challenge and I thought why not. That’s how we got here today”.
