Ex-Kaizer Chiefs defender stays in Denmark after signing with new club

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho will stay in Denmark after signing with HB Køge ahead of the 2022-23 football season.

Gordinho recently left Viborg FF whom he served for two seasons after they decided against renewing his contract.

And there was a possibility of him returning to South Africa although the central defender preferred to remain abroad where he felt he enjoyed his football.

Now, Gordinho has penned a one-and-a-half-year deal with HB Køge, and he’s excited to join the club after being attracted by what they are trying to achieve in the Danish league.

“From the first time I heard from the club, I became interested in the project here and in working with Daniel and the rest of the coaching staff at HB Køge. There is a clear strategy, and I am convinced that I can adapt and fit in, ” Gordinho told the club’s website.
