STARZ has unveiled the first look into the third season of Power Book II: Ghost.
Following the explosive last season, this new one hones in on Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) and his quest to reunite with his family and finally get out of the game with help of his partner, Brayden (Gianni Paolo). However, a new “ruthless” connect emerges to stop his plans, as the Tejadas are now tasked to distribute more product than ever before. Not to mention, there’s a looming RICO investigation intended to answer the age-old question for Tariq about whether or not he’s walking in his late father’s shadows or footsteps. Meanwhile, Monet (Mary J. Blige) is on a mission to avenge her eldest son Zeke’s death and keep the Feds off her back as Davis MacLean (Method Man) works to solve the NBA prospect’s murder.
The hit drama series recently earned an early season four renewal with Michael Ealy joining the ensemble cast as a series regular. The heartthrob actor will play a NYPD Detective whose drug task force may take down St. Patrick. Also, it was previously announced that Monique Curnen will reprise her role as Detective Blanca Rodriguez with Keesha Sharp as Professor Harper Bennet, David Walton as Lucas Weston, and Moriah Brown as KeKe Travis, landing recurring roles.
In the official teaser, Rainey Jr. narrates, “I don’t know what I can do. I don’t know who to trust.” Later in the 30-second snippet, a harrowing statement is made: “I think we just started a f**king war.”
