The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) is appealing to members of the public to help them identify two suspects that have allegedly been involved in a spate of bank robberies in the Western Cape.

BANK ROBBERS SOUGHT

Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani said the alleged bank robbery spree started in November 2021.

The pair are believed to be the men pictured in the photographs circulated by the Directorate.

The Hawks believe the incidents, in which ABSA and Standard Bank branches in the province were targeted, are related.

“The one suspect is described as tall whilst the other one is short. Both are males,” said Hani.

The Directorate’s National Priority Violent Crimes (NPVC) unit is investigating the incidents.

Members of the public with information about the suspects are encouraged to contact the investigating officer Captain Petro Coetzee at 071-481-6932.
