South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said the men were shot and killed in Westridge, Mitchells Plain at approximately 21:30.

It is alleged that a gunman arrived at a home on Jersey Street and asked for the owner by name.

“The armed man proceeded to shoot the owner and two other men inside the home,” said Potelwa.

All three of the victims died at the scene. The suspect fled and is yet to be arrested. The police have reason to believe the incident is gang-related.
