Pogba played the full match against Ivory Coast on Friday, but is now in a race against time to play against Bafana Bafana.
Bafana Bafana take on France in Lille
Bafana Bafana are scheduled to take on France tomorrow evening, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille. What could further boost Bafana Bafana’s charge for an unlikely victory could be the potential absence of two key midfielders in Manchester United’s Pogba as well as AS Monaco prodigious midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The central midfield duo started France’s 2-1 victory over fellow French-speaking nation, Ivory Coast on Friday evening, with the young Tchouameni even able to find himself on the scoresheet, as he leaped above the Ivorian defence to score the match winner, in the dying stages of the friendly at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.

Now speaking one day ahead of the friendly international against Bafana Bafana, France coach Deschamps raised concerns over the availability of both Pogba and Tchouameni.
Pogba and Tchouameni confirmed doubts
“Two players will not participated today (in training) Tchouameni, who has a little bit of fever since yesterday, he will practice on the side and and Paul Pogba got hit on his foot during the last game, so he will also not participate. We will see with the medical staff tomorrow to see if they will be available” Deschamps told the media via a translated statement on Monday evening.

It seems very unlikely that Deschamps would risk either of Pogba or Tchouameni for Bafana Bafana, especially when France already have enough firepower to navigate their absence. A player like Adrien Rabiot of Juventus is now almost certain to start in midfield tomorrow night.
