Kaizer Chiefs face stiff competition in the race to sign a highly talented Cameroonian striker from Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko.

The Glamour Boys have set Franck Mbella Etouga as one of their key transfer targets.

The player’s agent Mike Makaab confirmed that the Amakhosi are in talks with the Asante Kotoko striker.

Etouga has been lethal in front of goal for Asante Kotoko. The 20-year-old scored 21 goals for his side this season.

According to the player’s agent Mike Makaab, the Glamour Boys are indeed in talks with Etouga over a move to Naturena.

“Chiefs have officially submitted an offer to the Porcupine Warriors for the services of the Cameroonian striker who has taken the Ghana Premier League by storm this season.

“There are European clubs such as Saint-Etienne, Galatasaray, SD Eibar and Atletico Madrid all linked with the 20-year-old center forward.

“Etouga has been lethal for Kotoko this term having netted 20 goals.

“He also provided three assists and has also won 7 man of the match awards helping Kotoko to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time in eight years.”

Kaizer Chiefs have already unveiled two new signings following the close of their 2021/22 campaign.
