Kaizer Chiefs were closing in on the signatures of TWO rising stars this week but rivals Orlando Pirates managed to pull off an incredible heist!
ABC Motsepe League stars Gomolemo Khuto and Lucky Bule were on trial at the Glamour Boys last week with the hope of securing a permanent move to the club.
After a three-day trial, the duo from the North West were expected to join the Amakhosi but a dramatic turn of events unfolded.
Orlando Pirates swiftly moved to offer the Orbit College duo bumper deals at the Mayfair club, beating Kaizer Chiefs to it!
The duo put pen-to-paper and signed for the Buccaneers, with the Amakhosi left behind as the biggest losers!

“Yes, it is true, the boys trained with the Kaizer Chiefs reserve team for three days last week.” Orbit College head coach Pogiso Makhoye told SABC Sport.
“They were impressed with them but unfortunately they were slow to react and Orlando Pirates came back to finalize the deal.
“You will recall that Pirates spotted the boys first during the Pirates Cup, which was held in Johannesburg.
“But according to them, they were waiting for us to complete the ABC Motsepe play-offs.
“During that period, Kaizer Chiefs also came into the picture and that’s how the boys ended up in Naturena for assessment.
“But we are now happy to have concluded with Pirates, who have also compensated us appropriately for developing the boys.”
In other transfer news, a recently axed Orlando Pirates goalkeeper has been given a new role at the club!
According to reports, the Buccaneers have given Wayne Sandilands a coaching role in their youth structures.

Sandilands, 38-years-old, was released by the club at the end of last season.
He made a total of 80 appearances for Orlando Pirates since joining the club in 2017. Sandilands kept 35 Cleansheets for the Buccaneers.

“Wayne will be coaching the young guys. That is where he has to start.” an Orlando Pirates insider told Citizen.
“But, the ultimate goal is to be working with the seniors. It just that he has to go on the coaching courses first. Once he has his badges he will be promoted to the senior team.

“He can’t wait to start, he is really excited about this new role because it is something that has always in his mind.
“He is eager to learn and wants to make a mark in football. If you remember well last season, he was the one who was training the goalkeepers after Andrew Sparks left Orlando Pirates.
