Controversial entertainment commentator Musa Khawula is known to tweet his mind and report all allegations about celebrities as facts. Many celebrities have called him out for it, with DJ Sbu threatening to sue and later changing his mind, but it appears Metro FM’s Tbo Touch (real name Thabo Molefe) is going all the way.
On Wednesday 22 June, Khawula directly tagged the radio personality on Twitter, telling him not to make idle threats about taking him to the cleaners. This happened after the blogger reported that Touch embezzled funds at Soweto TV, among other allegations.

MUSA KHAWULA’S CLAIMS ABOUT TBO TOUCH
On Tuesday 21 June, Khawula took to Twitter to report that Touch was “accused of running Soweto TV to the ground.”
An article that was published in May 2021 by Sunday World, reported on Touch’s resignation also revealing that his tenure at the television channel was “marked by turbulence”. Among some of the storms when he was appointed in 2019, included the radio DJ’s suspension of “most of the producers”— Sunday World had reported.
In addition, the outlet reported that his strained relationship with some board members and the founder of the station, Tshepo Thafeng, led to their fights being reported to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa).
According to Khawula, Touch allegedly used Soweto TV funds to fund his online radio station, Touch HD.
“Tbo Touch is accused of paying himself 3 times – as a CEO, as a Director of a sales company MVM & paying his company Touch HD with Soweto TV’s funds but his company does not render any services at the station.”
Other allegations made by the blogger include forcing staff to work under unfavourable conditions.
“Under Tbo Touch’s management, the staff is expected to work without internet access. – They haven’t been receiving pay slips since the beginning of 2022. – The drivers have been struggling to pour fuel at the garage in Pimville & have been turned back several times due to non-payment,” Khawula wrote.

TBO TOUCH’S ATTORNEYS DELIVER LAWSUIT
Following the claims, Touch sent Khawula a letter of demand. According to a recent article by Sunday World, Touch is demanding that Khawula issues a public apology before Thursday 16:00 or face a lawsuit.
Touch is reportedly also accusing Khawula of using his image without his permission and demands he removes it.
“You made the statements for your personal benefit to boost your social media popularity and relevance without making any attempt to verify any facts concerning the matters that you have published on your Twitter account,” a letter from SGA Law Africa reads in part.

Many people would have probably been shaking in their boots after the letter, but Khawula is not about that life.
The blogger, instead, took to Twitter again. This time he tagged Touch and told him to attend to the Soweto TV employees’ grievance first before threatening him with the law.
“First things first, before wanting to threaten me with lawyers I think you should address the grievances by the employees at Soweto TV under your management and the sexual misconduct cases against Brian Mokoena.”
