WHEN LAST DID NDLOVU YOUTH CHOIR HIT THE STAGE?
Since the government eased COVID-19 restrictions, the Ndlovu Youth Choice has performed on several stages including the Miss South Africa pageant finale in 2021 at the Grand Arena in GrandWest, Cape Town.
The choir virtually joined the cast of Disney’s Encanto for a performance of the chart-topping hit We Don’t Talk About Bruno for the 2022 Oscar Awards earlier this year.
“It was good being back in the Dolby Theatre and we feel very honoured to have played a small part in the 2022 Oscars production,” wrote the choir on Instagram.
NDLOVU YOUTH CHOIR CAN’T WAIT FOR SA TOUR
Ralf Schmitt told IOL that after a difficult time during the COVID-19 lockdown, it is a privilege for the Ndlovu Youth Choir to get back on to the stage and perform in front of live audiences.
“We take this opportunity to hear, fully appreciating how special it will be to present songs from our brand new album as well as our best-loved songs. We can’t wait to feel the energy from the audience,” said Schmitt.
The choir will be performing some of their music, Grateful featuring Pretoria-based rapper 25K and a cover of Michael Jackson’s chart-topping track Main in the Mirror.
