Interestingly, Mosimane has now taken to social media to comment on rumours that he had already spoken to “10111”, as Zwane is affectionately known, over the possibility of leaving Chiefs to join him at Al Ahly.
In his first tweet, Mosimane called out a publication for “fake news” and reiterated that he was on good terms with Bafana Bafana and would never celebrate anything at the expense of South Africa.
In another post, he suggested the publication responsible for that “fake news” was perhaps “also responsible for the Arthur Zwane joining Al AHLY story”.
Zwane is currently one of two assistant coaches to Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, and has recently been linked with a move away from the club.
Mosimane in line for another top award
Meanwhile, Mosimane is up for another award just weeks after guiding the ‘Club of the Century’ to another FIFA Club World Cup bronze medal. ‘Jingles’ has been nominated for the Favourite African Star of the Year category in the 2022 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

For Mosimane to walk away with the award, he should accumulate the most votes in the category, and for that reason, his agency, MT Sports, has asked the public to vote.
