Over the years, more and more people have found themselves with botched plastic surgery as beauty trends become increasingly difficult to keep up with. One Russian beauty queen has found herself unable to sleep or smile after she got plastic surgery to make herself “look young again”.

Russian bombshell’s botched plastic surgery keeps her straight-faced and tired

Yulia Tarasevich is one of the thousands of people who have been left with serious regrets after making the decision to go under the knife.

The 43-year-old Russian beauty queen spent £3,000 (R61 975) on plastic surgery that was supposed to bring back her former youthful appearance.

Instead of radiance and beauty, she was left with eyelids that refuses to close and a mouth that simply won’t smile.

“I came to them with a beautiful healthy face,’ she said.

“I just wanted to correct some nuances caused by aging. But sadly, I lost my health.”

According to the Daily Mail, Yulia got a facelift, mini-liposuction, and a blepharoplasty (cosmetic correction of the eyelids) at a clinic in Krasnodar, southern Russia.

While everything appeared to be fine during the recovery process, as soon as she was completely healed, she could not blink her eyelids or move her mouth.

She told Russian Channel 1: “I have scars that formed in my cheeks when they ripped out all my tissue. My eyes don’t close, and I can’t smile. I can’t lift my upper lip, and one part of my face doesn’t work at all.”

Briefly News reports that the Mrs Russia-International beauty contestant then spent an additional £20,000 (R413 323) to correct the surgery but that too was unsuccessful.

Taking legal action

Yulia has since made the decision to sue the two doctors who performed her initial surgery for what she believes was malpractice.

The surgeons on the other hand say that Yulia has a rare condition that caused the surgeries to go sideways.

Doctors Andrey Komarov and Omar Khaled claim that the beauty queen has scleroderma – a condition that leads to hard, thickened areas of skin and can sometimes cause problems with internal organs and blood vessels as the victim’s immune system attacks connective tissue under the skin.
