Rockstar games confirms release date for ‘Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition’, with new official gameplay trailer.
Rockstar Games recently announced the official release date for the new Grand Theft Auto remastered trilogy collection, along with debuting the collection’s new visuals trailer. The complied set, titled Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, includes three games from the series previously launched as Playstation 2 originals.
Now, remastered for next-gen consoles and more, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will all be released together in a trilogy, with each of them ‘enhanced for a new generation’ of players and Rockstar Games’ fans.
According to Rockstar, the highly anticipated GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition features much “higher resolution textures across buildings, weapons, roads, interiors, and more,” that help enhance the gameplay experience. The new trailer highlights just that, as Rockstar brings back to life a complication of prior hits that hope to connect one generation of fans with another. Doing so with improved controls, frame reaction times, and detailed visuals, help resurrect these titles that have made Grand Theft Auto one of the most iconic gaming series of the last decade plus.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is set to debut November 11th, on Playstation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, as well as PC and Nintendo Switch, before it releases for Android and iOS next year. The November collection is expected to sell exclusively digitally at $59.99, until the physical release date, December 7th.
