For years now, Chiefs have been trying hard to get their house in order so that they can win trophies – the last time they won a trophy was seven years ago.

Siyethemba Sithebe will join Chiefs in the off-season but that’s the only signing, at least for now, that is confirmed.

DUMISANI ZUMA

Zuma has featured just twice for Chiefs this season for two reasons – he was initially injured before being suspended following his arrest for an alleged drink and driving charge.

The latest suspension could signal the end of the road for Zuma, especially because the Chiefs management doesn’t think he is disciplined.

In fact, Chiefs wanted to get rid of Zuma in January but they changed their minds and let him stay as they couldn’t get their targets to Naturena.

LAZAROUS KAMBOLE

Kambole has been with Chiefs for three seasons, but he has given the team close to nothing since his reported R3 million move from ZESCO United.

The Zambia international has featured just 43 times in all competitions for Chiefs and he has found the back of the net thrice.

And for a striker, that’s not an impressive record, and his lack of game time this season means Chiefs are planning life without him next season.

ANTHONY AGAY AKUMU

Anthony Agay hasn’t been a regular for Chiefs so far this season with just 10 appearances under his belt – his last match was against Swallows in November 2021.

Akumu came in highly rated two seasons ago with Ernst Middendorp in charge of the team, but a section of Chiefs fans hasn’t been convinced by him.

Overall, Akumu has managed 47 appearances for Chiefs while scoring just twice despite mainly playing as a central midfielder.
