TWO TAXIS WERE DRAG RACING WHEN ONE LOST CONTROL

He said witnesses informed RUSA Members that two taxis were drag racing when one of the vehicles lost control and knocked into the pedestrians before it sped off without stopping.

“The vehicle later returned when the driver explained that he was proceeding to the Tongaat CBD from Gwala’s Farm – KZN. As he drove towards the Saunders Circle intersection, another Toyota Quantam which was in front of him suddenly came to a stop.

“He allegedly swerved in an attempt to avoid colliding into the vehicle when he struck the pedestrians. In fear of backlash from the community, he did not stop to render assistance.”
